
The third candidate to publicly throw their hat into the ring for the 2014 Penn State Board of Trustees election is no stranger to the process. This is the third go-around for 2002 graduate Ryan Bagwell, who will look to use the recent notoriety from his open records initiative to propel him into one of the three alumni seats up for grabs in this year's election.

James Franklin made several media stops yesterday, giving his first interviews to members of the national media since becoming Penn State's head coach less than a week ago. His first stop was a nearly eight-and-a-half minute appearance on the nationally-syndicated radio program The Dan Patrick Show, hosted by former ESPN anchor Dan Patrick.

Lone Survivor has been a hit the box office since it was released on January 10, not only among Penn Staters, but nationwide. The movie depicts the true story of a four-man Navy SEAL team on a mission in Afghanistan, and stars Mark Wahlberg as Marcus Luttrell, the real life “lone survivor,” along with Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, and Ben Foster as the other members of Luttrell’s SEAL team.
