
Last weekend, several Penn Staters traveled to the University of Michigan to compete in MHacks, the largest student-run hackathon in the world. Two of them returned with $3,500 prize courtesy of the Hearst Corporation, which you may recognize as a major magazine publisher and a 20-percent stakeholder in ESPN.

Seedlings, a coming of age story of three college roommates, is running from September 26 to September 28 in 111 Forum at 9 p.m.

Though no legislation was actually on the agenda this week at UPUA, a small miracle happened, and legislation was in fact passed. Hallelujah.

As required by law, Penn State released its annual security report yesterday which discloses crime statistics over the past three years through 2012. The results show a drastic increase in forcible sexual offenses from 2011 to 2012, with reported incidents to the Penn State police nearly doubling over that time period.
