Acclaimed Filmmakers to Speak at PSU

Penn State's Student Programming Association recently announced that two acclaimed filmmakers will be venturing to speak at Penn State in March.

Morgan Spurlock, who directed and starred in the acclaimed documentary "Super Size Me," will speak Monday, March 19 in Schwab Auditorium at 8 p.m. Additionally, John Fox, writer and director of Academy Award-nominated documentary GasLand will speak on March 14 at 8 p.m. in Alumni Hall at the HUB. Both events are free.

UPUA President T.J. Bard Will Not Seek Re-Election

Current UPUA President T.J. Bard announced in an e-mail to the assembly Monday night that he would not be seeking re-election for a second term next year. Bard cited "personal issues" as the reason for this decision.

Mixed reactions greeted the move, but given the constant criticism I've seen Guido take from fans, I wanted to share my own opinion on his time at Penn State as someone who had the opportunity to work with Guido on a number of occasions through my involvement with Paternoville.
