
Despite all of the weekend Pokey Stix and Panda Express lunches in the HUB throughout the week, Greatist released a list of the 25 healthiest colleges in America and—you guessed it—Penn State came in at number 10.

Since October 2013, Penn State Berkey Creamery ice cream has been served in restaurants in Bethlehem, PA. Now, the ice cream gets its own counter at the Hotel Bethlehem, and the residents and students in the Lehigh Valley couldn't be more excited.

Weis Markets, along with Purina, is holding the "Pet of the Game Photo Contest" and it's resulted in plenty of cute Penn State Dog photos.

We're all about the Nittany Lion here at Penn State, but before there was the Lion there was Old Coaly, Penn State's favorite mule and original mascot. Though Old Coaly passed away in 1893, Penn State clearly had problems letting him go, and his bones are on display in the HUB. Let's be honest, some of us (me) thought the bones were dinosaur bones. Really though, those bones are there to remind students of Coaly's characteristics, characteristics that all Penn Staters should possess--strength, surefootedness, endurance, long service, and loyalty.

Throughout the past two weeks, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has taken the internet by storm and flooded all of our newsfeeds. Penn Staters everywhere have taken advantage of this opportunity to raise funds and awareness for ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. CNN and other media outlets are reporting that former FBI Director Louis Freeh, the university's investigator during the Sandusky Scandal, was hospitalized after a car accident.
