
The Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Wednesday, to "consider a potential litigation settlement" according to a press release. The meeting will begin via conference call at 8:30 a.m. and will be open to the public for listening and will be streamed at http://www.wpsu.org/live. The board will meet in executive session prior to the public meeting at 8:00 a.m.

Penn State announced its lineup for the 2014-15 Forum Speaker Series, and some names on it should draw significant interest. Among them: NFL Hall of Fame linebacker and concussion awareness advocate Harry Carson on being a "Captain for Life," former New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik on the need for criminal justice reform, and PBS President Paula Kerger on the future of educational media.
