Most people knew Jay Paterno had political aspirations, but few could have predicted his first race would be this large. The former Penn State assistant coach and son of Joe Paterno unveiled a website today that indicates he's running for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania on the Democratic ticket.

Joel Myers has been on the Penn State Board of Trustees for 33 years, and he'll hope to make that 36 years after the alumni election in May. He announced his candidacy in an open letter yesterday, and came out swinging against the reform group Penn Staters for Responsible Stewardship.

UPUA has decided to organize a walk to Harrisburg in order to advocate for more state funding. The walk will start at 12:30 PM on March 30th, and will come to an end at 4 AM on April 1st in Harrisburg for a total of 114 miles walked.

After students leave spring commencement, the Bryce Jordan Center will close its doors for the summer to make room for floor and roof repairs. Following the last ceremony on Sunday, May 11, the BJC will be closed until summer commencement on August 16.
