
UPUA has decided to organize a walk to Harrisburg in order to advocate for more state funding. The walk will start at 12:30 PM on March 30th, and will come to an end at 4 AM on April 1st in Harrisburg for a total of 114 miles walked.

After students leave spring commencement, the Bryce Jordan Center will close its doors for the summer to make room for floor and roof repairs. Following the last ceremony on Sunday, May 11, the BJC will be closed until summer commencement on August 16.

Penn State President Rodney Erickson announced plans for his retirement on January 11, 2012. 757 days later, and Penn State found its man to replace him.

There will be plenty of time to get to know Penn State's new president Eric Barron as he leads Old Main and the university over the coming years. For now, though, all we know is what has been printed in the media over Barron's nearly four decades in academia.

Penn State has a new president. Though we'll have to wait until Monday to officially meet him, Onward State broke the news that Dr. Eric J. Barron, the current president of the Florida State University, will succeed Rodney Erickson as Penn State's 18th president.
