Penn State will join a group of 61 prestigious universities in 13 countries today with the commencement of it's first Massive Open Online Course -- that's MOOC for short.

New Paterno Fellows Director Named

Dr. Cathy Wanner will replace honors program founder Jack Selzer as its new director on July 1, according to a Penn State news release. Wanner is a longtime Penn State professor of history, anthropology, and religious studies, specializing in socialist societies. Selzer said in a phone interview that he "couldn't be more pleased" with her appointment as director of the program. "She's a scholar immensely respected by her colleagues in the College of the Liberal Arts," he said. "She also has a tremendous breadth of knowledge."
