Onward Debates: Don’t Allow Ann Coulter’s Hate Speech

I am a huge proponent of free speech, but hate speech does not and should not count as free. Ann Coulter is not a controversial speaker, she represents a vile line of discriminitory thought that should not be allowed to come to Penn State -- especially not on my tuition dollars.

President Erickson plans to discuss the future of Penn State as a University, as well as its role in helping to prevent child abuse. Erickson hopes to focus on the many positives -- ranging from academic, athletic, and philanthropic efforts-- of Penn State in the past year as well.

Rally for Resignations Draws Hundreds of Alumni

Although estimates vary -- some as low as 350 and others as high as 1000 people -- Penn State alumni showed up Monday morning on the steps of Old Main to voice their displeasure for, well, pretty much everyone.

Penn State has lost one of its own.

Sean Smith, a Penn State World Campus student was killed as part of the attack on the U.S consulate in Libya as reported by the Centre Daily Times this morning.

Michael Murphy Veterans Plaza Set for Unveiling

At 5:30 p.m. today, the Veterans Plaza bearing Lt. Michael Murphy's name will be dedicated between Old Main and the McAllister building. Members from all three divisions of the military are expected to attend the ceremony to unveil the plaza.
