President Erickson plans to discuss the future of Penn State as a University, as well as its role in helping to prevent child abuse. Erickson hopes to focus on the many positives -- ranging from academic, athletic, and philanthropic efforts-- of Penn State in the past year as well.
Although estimates vary -- some as low as 350 and others as high as 1000 people -- Penn State alumni showed up Monday morning on the steps of Old Main to voice their displeasure for, well, pretty much everyone.
For the first time ever, the Penn State Board of Trustees allowed public comment at their meeting. Seven people preregistered online to speak at the meeting, and as you can imagine, they weren't all happy with the job the Board has done recent with its handling of the Freeh report or NCAA sanctions.

At 5:30 p.m. today, the Veterans Plaza bearing Lt. Michael Murphy's name will be dedicated between Old Main and the McAllister building. Members from all three divisions of the military are expected to attend the ceremony to unveil the plaza.
Despite losing 24-14 in a surprising loss to Ohio, Penn Staters broke a record at Beaver Stadium. Even though Beaver Stadium did not come close to breaking a record of attendees, tailgaters and fans were able to break a record for recycling at the game with the help of Students Taking Action To Encourage Recycling (STATERs.)
