While some Penn State students may choose to spend their April 20th doing activities that might not exactly be school-sanctioned, Earth Day celebrations will be celebrated all over campus today. A number of campus organizations are hosting myriad sustainably minded activities for students to attend.

In the last post from our View from Above series, we take you to the Old Main bell tower; a highest high point I am proud to cross off my Penn State bucket list. The reason why I call this the "highest high point" is because this is not the view you would see on the Lion Ambassador tour. This view is from within the actual bell tower -- one level higher than people visit on tours -- that took more of a struggle to climb than I expected.a

With the alumni Board of Trustee election in full swing, Onward State will be releasing short profiles of each candidate over the next week or so.

Yesterday afternoon, President Rodney Erickson and other key administrators held an open town hall forum in the HUB where they discussed issues ranging from rising tuition to the viability of Commonwealth Campuses.

As part of his pledge for transparency, President Rodney Erickson will host his second Town Hall Forum today at 4:30 in the HUB Auditorium. The event will also be live streamed.
This event comes a day after it was announced -- not surprisingly -- that President Erickson was served a subpoena to testify before a state grand jury investigating the allegations of sexual abuse against Jerry Sandusky.

Next week, Sexual Violence Awareness week will kick off at various events all over campus. The event, sponsored by UPUA is designed to bring more awareness to sexual violence to the campus community. Check out more about this week-long event after the jump.
