
Dr. Subra Suresh, with the support of three renowned Penn State researchers, headlined the Nelson W. Taylor Lecture in Materials yesterday. This year's theme was Materials Frontiers, where it was clear that the future of research lies in the ongoing collaboration between scientists of different specializations.

Later this week, three of our own faculty, along with a distinguished speaker, will be giving talks on the future of their respective fields as part of the 2012 Nelson W. Taylor Lecture.

The Penn State Student Red Cross Club has organized a month-long blood drive in the second annual “Fight for Life”. Penn State will compete to give the most blood against the Ohio State University Student Red Cross Club. The friendly competition began Monday, April 2 and will conclude on Friday, April 27.

Joe Paterno was such a man that even after his passing he will continue his life mission to "make an impact" with the founding of the Paterno Foundation. More details and information will be released in the coming weeks as the foundation is still in its early stages.

The Penn State Alumni Association will be hosting a Candidate Meet and Greet during Blue-White weekend on Saturday, April 21. The road to hosting this event hit a few roadbumps along the way, but in the end came out strong.
