Just two days after being embarrassed in the biggest incumbent defeat in the history of Pennsylvania gubernatorial elections, Tom Corbett is changing his tune on Joe Paterno.
Commonwealth Court Judge Anne Covey issued a memorandum ruling on Friday blasting the NCAA for its numerous court filings in its various lawsuits, calling its efforts to get just the right rulings "deplorable," according to the Centre Daily Times. Covey also called out the NCAA for claiming that they own the $60 million fine money from their sanctions on Penn State, although the university has denied so in one of its filings.
Recent internal NCAA emails released in discovery of Senator Jake Corman's lawsuit show that NCAA officials questioned their own jurisdiction to sanction Penn State and that it was banking on Penn State being "so embarrassed they will do anything."
