In anticipation of tomorrow morning's episode of the Today Show featuring recorded segments of an interview with an imprisoned Jerry Sandusky, the Paterno family released the following statement on Paterno.com:

The former longtime defensive coordinator will describe what he says happened on the campus, and what he thinks of whistleblower Mike McQueary and late head coach Joe Paterno.

Everyone knows Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett faces an uphill battle for reelection in 2014, but a Public Policy Polling release from last week makes his prospects look even bleaker.
Specific to our interests, Pennsylvanians overwhelmingly disapprove of how Corbett has handled the Penn State situation, both as governor and while investigating Sandusky as the attorney general.

Attorneys representing Mike McQueary and Penn State convened at the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte today to present their preliminary arguments before Judge Thomas Gavin.

Penn State Trustee Ken Frazier has never wavered in his unconditional support of the Freeh report and its findings, even going so far as to compare Freeh report doubters to people who believe the O.J. Simpson verdict was correct.
It all went down yesterday in Hershey during one of the Board of Trustees committee meetings, where Frazier was confronted by board candidate Bill Cluck, a Harrisburg lawyer. Cluck -- like many Penn Staters (and Bob Costas) -- questioned some of the conclusions Freeh reached in the report and commented that the document would not hold up legally in court, much to the chagrin of the fiery Frazier.

"Do you see the Freeh report differently now than you did at the time?"
"Oh yes, very much so."
Those words came from Emmy-winning journalist Bob Costas last week in a radio interview with Kevin Slaten of KQQZ in St. Louis. Costas spoke at length to Slaten about his evolving opinion of the Freeh report, Joe Paterno's legacy, and the Penn State situation as a whole in what is some of the most balanced rhetoric I've heard from a national media source about the Sandusky scandal.
