Molly Barron, the wife of Penn State president Eric Barron, received the first ever "Friend of the Blue Band" award at the band's end-of-the-season banquet last month. The recognition, which will be awarded annually, intends to "celebrate an individual's outstanding commitment to the Penn State Blue Band."
Once again, Penn State takes the top spot on a ranking list. The No. 1 spot on this list speaks to how well we, the students of Penn State, party when power-ranked against other universities popular among Philadelphia residents. Penn State beat out 20 other schools, including Rutgers, to claim the title.
As soon as I heard that Bill Ayers was going to be speaking at Penn State University, I knew what would happen next. The candidates for the Executive of UPUA's 10th Assembly have officially been announced. The 2015 Presidential race will include three familiar pairs, while a fourth ticket includes two candidates new to UPUA.
