
When I made the decision to come to Penn State, housing wasn't really on my immediate list of worries. I was excited enough about coming to school that when I received a supplemental housing contract, I didn't really care. I'm not saying that I didn't freak out a little about having six random roommates instead of one, but I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

I don't know about you, but I am an avid Iron Chef fan. Every time I hear that over dramatic music and see some guy biting into peppers and doing somersaults I know that I am in for a hour of excellent television. So when I heard about the Penn State food service's Collegiate Culinary Challenge, I had visions of Alton Brown, anti-griddles, and fish ice cream dancing in my head.

Men Against Violence is a group of really cool dudes who, in partnership with the Center for Women Students, just want to stop gender violence. This Thursday, they'll step into a pair of pumps for Penn State's third annual "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes," the international men's march to stop rape and sexual assault.

The 8th Assembly met for the first time last night with the goal of learning from past mistakes while also moving UPUA in a positive direction going forward. The first order of business, however, was electing the new chairs. Here's how it all went down:
