
A recovery fund has been started in other to help support Paige Raque, the Penn State cheerleader that suffered a tragic fall from the window of her fifth-story Calder Commons apartment last weekend. Her friend, Ally Zimmerman, is organizing a bracelet sale to benefit the fund.

Widely acclaimed broadcast journalist Nina Totenberg of National Public Radio spoke at Eisenhower Auditorium last night as part of the Student Programming Association’s Distinguished Speaker Series. It was a long, boring weekend in lonely Happy Valley as the majority of Penn Staters went out with their respective orgs and committees for the second canning weekend. So I was beyond thrilled to end this dry weekend by pulling on the typical flannel-and-boots combination and hopping aboard a wagon full of hay with some secretly inebriated college folk.
