Get ready, get set, and mark your calendars! With all of the musical power invested in him, the Penn State Boombox Guy took to his Twitter yesterday to declare all Wednesdays henceforth as “Boombox Day.”

I recall thinking about college all the time when I was younger. Penn State was the only choice (of course), however there was always the question of whether or not I would join a frat. So in honor of rush week I comprised a small list of pros and cons to look over and decide for yourself.

There are many sights to be seen in State College, but when you're new to the area you might not know where to start. First, talk to your friends. Even those people from high school who refuse to acknowledge that you go to the same university may offer some valuable advice.

Everyone loves to giggle at oblivious freshmen attempting to swipe their ID cards to get onto the White Loop after a long night on Frat Row, but getting around campus would be much less of a hassle (read: shit show) if everyone understood how the CATAbus worked. These routes have become familiar to many of us, but at one point in time, they were foreign to us.

It was everything you could ask for in a UPUA meeting and more -- no-holds-barred debate on leadership organization and parliamentary procedure regarding a budget commission, unanimous votes (surprise, surprise) on legislation, and powerpoint presentations on both a revamped housing database website and a partnership with the Princeton Review for test prep courses. Truly tantalizing stuff.
