Penn State #1 (Employer in Centre County)

Penn State is Centre County’s biggest employer, beating out the second-biggest employer (the State College Area School District) by 21,704 people. Has there been a year in the past century that Penn State wasn’t the biggest employer? Probably not.

Some other interesting rankings were the County Government at #6, Wal-Mart at #7, and AccuWeather at #16.
