Center for Performing Arts Lineup Announced

cpaPenn State Live has posted the list of next year’s performers being brought to campus by the Center for Performing Arts.

Needless to say, we have some pretty good acts coming. Acts I’m looking forward to include: Bela Fleck, famous banjoist; Avenue Q; the Monterrey Jazz Festival on Tour; and Stomp (AWESOME!!!).

Last season was pretty good too. I had the opportunity to see Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Jimmy Heath, and McCoy Tyner. The CPA does a pretty good job… if only UPUA and UPAC could do so well.

The complete lineup for next year is below.

Senior Writes Final Column

Senior columns, with all their melodrama and platitudes, usually leave me eye-rolling and shaking my head with a vigor usually reserved for study abroad blog posts. But, as I graduate a week from today, I figured I should give it a go myself. Rather than discuss the origins of Onward State like Evan,  I’d just like to briefly thank a few individuals who have defined my Penn State experience.
