After weeks of anticipation, Movin' On announced most of its line-up for this spring's music festival on Wednesday in the HUB-Robeson Center. There will be a fifth headliner as well at least one local band which will be chosen after the Battle of the Bands which is slated for March 31st. Here are some Onward State staff members opinion on the choices for the line-up thus far.
WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center during the Penn State women's basketball game against Minnesota. For every ticket sold for the game, $3 will be donated to the Pink Zone fundraising efforts.
Ah, State Patty’s Day, the not-so-wonderful student holiday created for the purpose of solely getting hammered before St. Patrick’s Day. Over a week ago, Onward State broke the story about "The Joe We Know", a film exploring Joe Paterno's Grand Experiment featuring over seventy former Penn State Lettermen was set to premiere in the State Theatre last weekend. Starting today and continuing through next Wednesday, there will be twelve more opportunities to view the film.
My fellow editor, Kevin Horne, did no wrong in publishing his post. He initiated public criticism of THON, something most irrationally fear, and is necessary to the vitality of the program. His concerns are valid, and only seek to craft a more dynamic philanthropy. However, I have my disputes with the arguments that he crafted.
