10 Questions with Librarian Dan Mack

We here at Onward State wanted to get to know one of the campus’s favorite librarians a little better, so we sat down with Dan Mack, and asked away. Dan Mack is a humanities librarian at the George and Sherry Middlemas Arts and Humanities Library, and responsible for the ancient history, classics and ancient Mediterranean […]

More than 10 Questions with Jay Paterno

This summer Onward State had the opportunity to interview Penn State Football's QB Coach Jay Paterno. We collectively panicked to figure out what questions to ask, but then after pulling ourselves together we were able to come up with a well rounded interview. Coach Paterno was very generous in his responses and let us into his unique role as both a coach and the son of a football legend.

A few weeks ago, Eli let us know about Drew Magathan, the Temple student who cleaned up on Wheel of Fortune with over $100,000, and lamented the lack of Penn State representation on the show. That’s when we were thrilled to find out (through commenter Kyle – thanks Kyle!) that we actually did have a […]

100 Years of Giggles: 10 Questions with Phroth

As some of you may know, this year is the 100th anniversary of Penn State’s humor magazine, Phroth. The magazine also produces the Phollegian, which we all enjoyed on March 31st for some reason instead of April Fool’s Day. Ah, well. We were lucky enough to score an interview with the lady behind the laughs, […]
