
The Penn State football team lost its first game under Tom Bradley's tenure to Nebraska 17-14. A packed house of 107,903 left disappointed from a game that meant more than just what happened on the field after the Jerry Sandusky scandal rocked the university.

At noon, 20 seniors on the Penn State football team will take to the field at Beaver Stadium for the final time. Despite the Sandusky incident and the firing of head coach Joe Paterno, there is still a game to play. According to Weather.com, it will be 50 degrees at noon when Penn State takes on Nebraska. The Penn State Board of Trustees will meet this morning in the ballroom at the Nittany Lion Inn, a space four times bigger than what is normally used. Penn State University Relations staff is guarding the door, limiting the number of journalists and cameras allowed into what will surely be the most anticipated Board of Trustees meeting in many, many years.

Amid the Jerry Sandusky scandal that has rocked the Penn State community, there will still be a football game on Saturday. No. 12 Penn State (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten) takes on Nebraska (7-2, 3-2 Big Ten) at Beaver Stadium at noon. Tom Bradley's first game as head coach comes against a tough Cornhusker squad that was upset by Northwestern last week.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett held a brief press conference in front of reporters at the Penn Stater Conference Center. The presser was filled with a lot of "no comment"s lumped between a few bold statements--not surprising given that Corbett opened this investigation while serving as Pennsylvania's Attorney General.
This will be, in all likelihood, the last time that Penn State offers a class on "Joe Paterno, Communications, and the Media," otherwise known as COMM 497G, but if this was its final semester, it's going out with a bang.
