Meet Thon Maker, a sophomore guard/forward/center at Carlisle School in Virginia whose highlight tape has gone viral on YouTube, and whose name would make him the perfect Penn Stater.

THON is only 14 days away, but you probably already know that. Other than the natural inclination to check your calendar three times a day, there are plenty of signs all around campus that the big weekend is almost here.

With THON just 11 days away, quite a few YouTube videos focused on Penn State's 46-hour dance marathon have been published. Although not released by an official THON account, we decided to share this one titled "THON 2014 - Redefined," published by YouTube user m2387, because it's incredibly well done. This user has been making awesome THON videos for years, all of which have thousands of views on his channel. So check out this most recent video, set to Avicii's "Hey Brother," and get excited to stand for 46.

My Hero Zero will join five other local dance and a cappella groups for a highlighter themed party highlighting the arrival of THON. All proceeds from the five dollar tickets will go to THON.

The Penn State men's basketball team fell to Illinois 60-55.

With THON a short 15 days away, the list of dancers who will be standing for 46 hours has just been released, and just like last year is breaking a new record. Gone are the days of the traditional 708 dancers-- this year the BJC will be home to 711 dancers during THON weekend. Earlier this year it was announced that dancer couples would become a thing of the past, allowing organizations to have an odd number of dancers for the first time in the Dance Marathon's history. A discrepancy similar to last year's that allowed for 710 dancers pushed this year's number to 711.
