Football Announces Single Game Ticket Prices For 2015-16 Season

By Sara Civian

Penn State announced the variable prices for single game football tickets for the 2015-16 season, with three early-season games selling for as low as $40.

Penn State started using the variable pricing system last season, which raised the price for primetime games. Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing Sales and Service Jeff Garner said in a release that the response from fans under the new system was “enthusiastically positive,” allowing for more price options and cheaper tickets against lackluster opponents.

“In an effort to be sensitive to our schedule, we are offering three of the first five games at our lowest possible ticket price,” Garner, said. “We know our fans must commit time, resources and effort to attending a Penn State weekend and variable pricing allows us to respond accordingly.”

Single game tickets will go on sale to the general public in July. Tickets will be the most expensive for dates with Michigan and Rutgers, with the cheapest ticket selling for $100. Here’s the full list of of prices, by section.

Tickets for the three other games in this stretch–the home opener vs. Buffalo (Sept. 12), Sept. 26 vs. San Diego State , and Oct. 3 vs. Army–will be priced as low as $40.
