Onward State’s 2024 College Football Playoff Hub

That’s all she wrote, folks.

Penn State’s run in the College Football Playoff came to a run on Thursday night as the Nittany Lions fell to Notre Dame 27-24. A late field goal from Mitch Jeter after a bad interception from Drew Allar sealed it.

After putting together an 11-1 regular season for the first time since 2008, the Nittany Lions fell by a narrow margin in the Big Ten Championship 45-37 to No. 1 Oregon. Despite the loss, Penn State finished No. 4 overall in the playoffs’ rankings and placed as the No. 6 seed.

Penn State started its journey through the playoffs with a win against SMU on Saturday, December 21, at Beaver Stadium, and another against Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl on Tuesday, December 31.

Our team of football writers will cover the Nittany Lions as they advance through the playoffs. Check back here to make sure you don’t miss any of our coverage one of the program’s greatest postseason opportunities in years.
