Student book exchange web site up

The Collegian reported this morning that the plan conceived last spring by UPUA to host a free book exchange came to fruition this week.

Onward State will be here with a walk-through later this morning afternoon. But until then, if you have PSU access id, you can access the site here.

EDIT: Here’s the walkthrough. Overall, I found the site easy to use. But a site like this is only functional to the extent that people use it. I recommend it, and I know I’ll be selling my books on it in a few weeks.

Penn State and the Process of Life

To paraphrase Mark Twain: The reports of higher education’s death have been an exaggeration. American universities produce more research and relevant knowledge for the world at large than any other institutions I know of. Tuition may be too damn high, but over the long-run, undergraduate degrees are definitely worth the cost. But Penn State could be so much more. It used to be, I think.
