LEONITAS Virtual Learning Environment Seminar

What: The Security and Risk Analysis Club (SRA Club) is hosting an event to teach students about virtual machines, a new technology that is rapidly changing the security world.  Students will learn how to install virtual machines on their computers in order to download multiple operating systems and play with software in a contained environment.  No technical knowledge is needed.  The event is open to anyone interested in learning a cool new technology.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops.

Penn State and the Process of Life

To paraphrase Mark Twain: The reports of higher education’s death have been an exaggeration. American universities produce more research and relevant knowledge for the world at large than any other institutions I know of. Tuition may be too damn high, but over the long-run, undergraduate degrees are definitely worth the cost. But Penn State could be so much more. It used to be, I think.
