9:09… The stands are really starting to fill up. Get out to the BJC people!
9:07… They’re actually doing a full Sandstorm. Maybe Larry will segue into the Line Dance?
9:04… Moralers and Dancers are onstage doing, what else, but dancing.
8:59… Just heard an announcement for another installment of the variety show. Should be great.
8:52… It should be time for a line dance soon…
8:34… Slides of Strength is ongoing in the center of the floor.
8:25… The View From the Press Box
8:14… Slides of Strength time!
8:05… The Jonas Brothers, kind of obnoxiously, provide video inspiration to people that probably don’t listen to their music anyway.
8:04… Blue Band Cowbell Cheer
7:54… Whipple Jam departs.
7:50… “The General”? No effing way.
7:44… I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
7:39… They have a keyboard too. I missed that.
7:28… It’s all covers so far.
7:18… The new band is called Whipple Jam. Acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass, and a drum set. Pretty good. Music to sing along to.
7:16… The new band is doing some soundchecks, then REM comes on: “End of the World”
7:04… Whiplash Dance Crew is on now… Stage right.
7:03… A new band is setting up. I wonder which one it is?

6:09… Color War Standings: Blue, Red, Green, and Orange! The Finale Begins!
6:08… nice Color War video
6:03… After another Line Dance, the stands appear to be filling up once again.
5:53… “Jump Around” What is this? Wisconsin?
5:51… “Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom” I have fond memories of this song.
5:47… Green Chrysler parked illegally.
5:30… The View From the Press Box
5:24… Football Mascot Trivia
5:20… Penn State Pride activities… Tailgating games for Color War points.
4:55… “Cupid Shuffle”: THON eats line dances for breakfast. Speaking of, some of the dancers are eating now.
4:49… My Hero Zero rocks their way off the stage.
4:40… Livin’ on a Prayer
4:27… Here’s our tenth slideshow.
4:24… “Sweet Caroline” is a classic.
4:22… I always just called this the ‘Tender Heart in a Blender’ song because I never knew what its real name was.
4:14… It’s meal time again.
4:12… My Hero Zero has the crowd jamming to an extent I would have thought impossible at 4:00 am.
4:03… The ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ is such a guilty pleasure for me. ATO and Zeta are still hitting it hard over on the other side of the arena.
4:00… My Hero Zero has taken the stage.
3:58…. The LION 90.7 fm wins the 3:00-4:00 am Onward State Spirit Award for a News Organization. Only outlet dancing in all of press row.
3:55… I’m pretty sure I just saw the Collegian’s football writer walk by. They really tapped the reserves this weekend.
3:51… ATO and Zeta are showing a lot of enthusiasm from the stands right now. Body painting and everything. They get the 3:00-4:00 am Onward State Spirit Award.
3:47… Forgot to tell yall we ran into the new Nittany Lion, Clint Gyory, on the floor. We’ll have a picture up soon.
3:45… Eat-n-Park cookie decorating!
3:37… LINE-DANCE!
3:34… Just under an hour later, we’re back. Line-dance is coming soon. As night comes and goes, I’ve begun to realize the truth in something Chris said earlier this week about THON. The energy all the committee members take to the floor is probably the single most important thing that gets the dancers through the weekend.
2:44… Here’s our ninth slideshow. I’m going to go down and get some pictures of mail call.
2:44… ‘Barb the Mail Lady’ is saying hi. Nittany Lion is here too.
2:43… Mail Call is starting.
2:37… Did you know that THON was six years old when Grease was released?
2:36… ‘Grease Lightning’ from Grease is playing.
2:24… As the line-dance asks, “Katy Perry: hot or cold?” Judging from the gentleman two rows in front of me, hot. (He’s wearing a hunting hat, a cutoff plaid shirt, and overalls. Costume or not?)
2:18… Rita’s mascot (a cup of orange, by the looks of it) is dancing in the middle of a circle of Rules & Regulations committee members.
2:13… Eiffel 65’s ‘Blue’ is playing right now. Some songs get better with age. This one didn’t.
2:11… ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered: I’m Yours.’ And guess what’s coming soon? Dancer mail. Nice one.
2:09… Truism of the night from a departing Pi Phi: “Stairs are hard.”
2:08… This song makes me think of ‘Call Me Al.’ I could go for that right now. It’s actually ‘Diamonds on the Soles of Their Shoes’ which is probably the better known song too.
1:59… Chad would love the music that’s playing right now. It’s Phishtastic.
1:53… Are dancers allowed to bring any medication with them?
1:47… We have about twenty new pictures coming up shortly. It’s hard to believe it’s nearly 2:00 am already.
1:30… The next live band has begun playing.
