The Spill Canvas To Headline “Movin’ On”

spillcanvasAs we reported earlier today, the alternative rock band The Spill Canvas will be headlining this year’s Movin’ On music festival. The Collegian posted an article on Monday regarding the band’s announcement, showing the justification behind picking them as the headliner:

“We looked up a bunch of different acts, but we chose Spill Canvas because they offered a nice variety to the Movin’ On lineup and hopefully draw a decent crowd,” said Kristen Laino, assistant director for Movin’ On. “Overall, the committee is very excited.”

But the article also showed that some students are very upset with the choice of The Spill Canvas.

“It baffles me. I like them but … I don’t want to talk s— on Movin’ On, but I feel like they could have done a better job,” [T.J.] Cornwall said. “It’s sad. When I came to Penn State, I heard of Movin’ On. Since then, it’s never really lived up to my expectations.”

Astoundingly, this writer has never heard a single song by The Spill Canvas. We want to know what you think though. Is The Spill Canvas the headliner you always dreamed of, or was your heart set on the Deacons of Dixieland? Drop a comment about your hopes and expectations for this year’s Movin’ On, lest the Jonas Brothers headline next year.
