GreekValley.com: The Greek Social Network

GreekValleyLogo

The Greek community here at PSU is about to have access to a new social-networking site called GreekValley.com. The site is tailored to the needs of fraternity chapters/members. Onward State was invited to a sneak peak of the website to see what it’s all about.

Greek Valley is intended to be a resource that Greek members can use to collaborate within their chapter or with other Greek organizations. The site will include a full Greek Directory for Penn State. This can be used by anyone in the Greek community to get in touch with other chapters or if they need a quick cell phone number for one of their own brothers/sisters.

The main feature of the site is the Chapter Room. This section of the website acts as a home-base for Greek members when they sign in. Here, they’ll be able to see discussions within their chapter, as well as upcoming events. GreekValley.com includes a calendar tool that is really simple to use.

The IFC could not be reached for comment about GreekValley.com, but the Executive Council is involved with the site and are probably looking to inform fraternity chapters about it in the near future.

Will GreekValley.com be the next big thing for the Greek community? Or will it end up being a vacant website?
