The National Research Council (NRC) released its 2010 doctoral program (graduate school) rankings on Tuesday. The NRC does this type of release every 10 yrs, though the last release took place in 1995. This data is taken very seriously by many firms that judge our institutions. While everyone else has been enjoying a nice, simple syllabus week during the first week back at Penn State, the Interfraternity Council has been busy working to get Greek men trained on the new IFC Social Policy. IFC VP for Risk Management, Tom Piarulli, is holding training sessions every evening this week to certify Greek men for becoming Greek Event Monitors for their social functions. This new system replaces the previous one which made security guards mandatory at social functions. The new IFC Social Policy gives the accountability back to the chapter members to maintain a safe and organized environment for all social events.
