Penn State PRIDE

pridePenn State PRIDE is a new student organization on campus. Its goal? Let’s let their official site describe it.

We ARE a group of Penn State students who decided to mobilize ourselves to perpetuate the traditions of our University and ensure that we have a welcoming environment for ALL fans. We want to inspire a sense of honor and pride in all Penn Staters: Pride in our history; Pride in our University; Pride in ourselves. The “PRIDE.” Is here.

In order to accomplish their goals, PRIDE sponsors athletic events, gives presentations, and uses any medium possible to relay their message. They have attended sportsmanship conferences, hosted representatives of rival teams, and more.

PRIDE is accepting applications for general membership now! So join, for the glory.

Kiwi Fro-Yo Comes to Penn State

The Kiwi Yogurt chain is opening its newest store right here in State College, next to the Student Book Store at 324 E. College Ave, this February (no word yet on exact date). Kiwi is a Maine Line, Pa.-based, family-owned company founded in 2008 set on providing “the ultimate dessert experience.”

And it is quite the experience. When you walk in, there is – prepare yourselves – a wall of frozen yogurt options. You get to walk up to this beautiful wall and vend yourself as many flavors as you like.
