Los Campesinos! and Cymbals Eat Guitars to Play at HUB

As if you didn’t have enough concerts to distract you from your studies, SOMA is putting on their final show of the year April 26 in Alumni Hall. It looks like a stellar lineup, including rising indie stars Los Campesinos! and Cymbals Eat Guitars, as well as local favorites Kalob Griffin Band and Zak Sobel.

The show will be free to all students, you just have to show your ID at the door. Check out the video for the new single from Los Campesinos!, “Romance is Boring”:

If you think you can fit one more concert into your schedule between all of your finals studying, I definitely recommend checking this one out.

Southern Kitsch and Sweet Tea at Cracker Barrel

After several months of anticipation, I was finally able to check out State College’s new Cracker Barrel on its opening day. Located at 215 Colonnade Blvd., there are few surprises at the chain’s new location. With rows of rocking chairs out front, checker boards and a game of peg solitaire at every table, I could have been at any franchise location in the country — not that that’s a bad thing.
