Goo Goo Dolls to Play Eisenhower Auditorium

The Goo Goo Dolls are set to play at Eisenhower Auditorium on October 19 at 7:00 pm, according to the band’s website and Facebook page. The Dolls will be supported by The Spill Canvas, an alternative rock band from Sioux Falls. The band has posted a link to Ticketmaster on their website, but tickets are not yet available.

For those that are unfamiliar with their music (if you slept through the 1990s for instance), the band, fronted by guitarist John Rzeznik, hit it big in 1998 with the album Dizzy Up the Girl, which had five Top-10 singles: “Iris”, “Slide”, “Black Balloon”, “Broadway”, and “Dizzy”. Of the five, “Iris” received a Grammy nomination for Best Song in 1998.

With this concert in October and the Student Programming Association announcing that Hanson is coming to Alumni Hall 10 p.m., August 28, the music of our elementary school years is firmly established on the concert calendar for the beginning of the semester.
