Last night, jokesmith Andrew Kennedy did comedy while standing up at an 8 p.m. free show in the HUB Auditorium. Kennedy has been voted into Comedy Central’s top 20 comedians two years in a row. He showed why he deserved to be in such a redundant list to a crowd of Penn State students.
The library will be hosting their annual open house tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and again on Wednesday, same time. There will be appearances from both Spanier and the Nittany Lion, so bring your camera to document this historic event.
The crowd consisted primarily of lisped prepubescent boys, die-hard fanboys, stoned nightowls, and then me.

Last month, a story broke that Penn State was beginning to look into the possibility of instituting Division I hockey teams. Such an initiative would be greatly helped by a brand-new hockey arena, and rumors have been circling that a new ice venue will be making its way onto campus. It now looks like there is good news on both of those fronts.
At the State Senate Majority Policy Committee hearing held in the borough yesterday, you might think students were the bane of the existence of adults, or dogs in one of Pavlov's studies. It seems that the senators and speakers forgot about their times in college, talking about the students as if they were unable to regulate themselves without the heavy, cumbersome hand of the law.
