Sammy Suspended By National Chapter

Sigma Alpha Mu received a notice of suspension from its national office on Monday citing misconduct on behalf of several members of the chapter at Penn State.

The Mu Lambda chapter remains under a suspension of operations from the Fraternitypending the completion of an investigation and review of the chapter by the university and by the Fraternity’s Board of Directors. The Fraternity has encouraged the chapter and its members to cooperate with the investigation.

While the notice does not delve into specifics behind why Sammy was suspended, it does state that hazing is not tolerated within the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity and that “permanent action” may be necessary for fraternity members and/or the chapter itself.

Sammy president, Zach Macht, could not be reached for comment before press time.
