Songwriters Club To Show Feminine Side

There’s a ladies’ night planned in Penn State, but it has nothing to do with cheap drinks and normally well-kept girls dancing on tables. It’s an event planned by the Penn State Songwriters Club showcasing the talents of women on campus.

Songwriters Club Founder and President Brian Walker commented on the importance of an all-female music event. “We recognize that ladies are underrepresented in our organization and the music scene,” he said. “To keep our mission that every voice shall be heard with every ear, we should have an event for ladies too.”

You can check it out at the West Halls study lounge on Wednesday, October 20 at 7:30. Ladies, bring your best songs, poems or any other hidden talents to awe the crowd and show off your “girl power.” Gents, come out and show supportĀ  in your gaudiest pink attire. If you have any questions pertaining to the event, email Maura Westerlund at [email protected].
