Bye Week Comes at Perfect Time

It has been a rocky road for the 3-3  Nittany Lions football team, and it has plenty of Penn State football fans feeling like this little kid. The squad has this weekend off and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Webster’s Finds Sweet New Location

Since July 30, Allen St. has been lacking its underground appeal. There haven't been benches full of smokers dressed in the latest European apparel. The smell of fresh brewed caffeine has been seemingly vacant when rounding the corner off of College Ave. The windows have been missing busy students, cycling through used books or cramming for upcoming exams.

HUB Titles: Despicable Me

When it comes to animation, Pixar has basically held a stranglehold on the genre for the better part of a decade. With "Shrek" wallowing in mediocrity for a while and Pixar movies becoming the equivalent of eyeball sex, “Despicable Me” was a daring entry into a one-horse race. Fortunately, this evil scheme produced a dastardly good time.

The UPUA Chief of Staff Controversy, Continued

The University Park Undergraduate Association has now had time to react to last night's censure of President Christian Ragland. The Assembly voted 24-3-12 to reprimand the President for appointing Dustin Dove to the position of Chief of Staff without approval or confirmation by the Assembly, and after the Board of Arbitration ruled that Dove was ineligible to serve in UPUA.

College Caregivers Creates Local Job Opportunities

Care.com is introducing its new College Caregivers program that connects students at over 7,000 universities, including Penn State, with local residents in need of services such as babysitting, pet sitting, in-home care for seniors and tutoring.

Songwriters Club To Show Feminine Side

There's a ladies' night planned in Penn State, but it has nothing to do with cheap drinks and normally well-kept girls dancing on tables. It's an event planned by the Penn State Songwriters Club showcasing the talents of women on campus.
