New York Times Hosts Public Speaking Contest

The New York Times puts the pressure on Penn State undergraduates to present persuasive speeches before a panel to win money, publication and bragging rights. The Penn State Civic Engagement Speaking Contest will be held on Monday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Nittany Lion Inn boardroom. Admission is free and all are welcome to come see the best speakers present their ideas advocating public policies for significant social or civic issues.

Lady Lions Fall To Boston College in Overtime

The Penn State women's basketball team played their third road overtime game of the season on Thursday night, falling to Boston College, 113-104. The Lady Lions came back from an 11-point deficit in the second half but were unable to get the win in overtime.
