Not Your Typical “Dinner and a Show” at the BJC

Where can you get dinner, live music, and a nationally-televised show for under $10? If you answered the Bryce Jordan Center, then you’re probably already planning on going to Thursday night’s men’s basketball game.

The Nittany Lions, clinging to hopes of remaining on the NCAA Tournament bubble, host the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 7pm on Thursday night in a game that will be televised on ESPN. Minnesota (17-8, 6-7 Big Ten) also finds themselves sitting “on the bubble” after losing four of their last five and falling out of the Top 25 rankings last week.

Thursday night’s game will also feature a halftime performance by hip-hop group Primary Element, which features Penn State football’s own Mike Wallace. Primary Element’s new album “Ambition” drops Tuesday and will be available for free download, and don’t be surprised if you hear their song “For The Kids” played during THON this weekend.

Let’s not forget that Thursday night is also Dollar Dog Night at the BJC, which makes everyone happy.

Come out Thursday night and experience the rare and delightful blend of college basketball, live hip-hop music, and really cheap hot dogs.
