Celebrate the First Day of Spring with Free Rita’s

For me, the coming of spring is defined by two things: baseball and Rita’s water ice (or Italian ice for you non-Philadelphians).

On Sunday, Rita’s will host its 19th annual First Day of Spring celebration by giving away a free regular-sized Italian Ice to all patrons. Be prepared for a line because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love free Rita’s?

Happy Valley’s Rita’s is located on East Beaver Avenue, just past Allen Street. Take a walk or take the bus (the CATA stop is just across the street) and celebrate spring with some free Italian Ice!
