Alex Bentley scored 25 points to lead the Penn State women's basketball team to a win over Dayton on Saturday. The win puts the Lady Lions into the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2004. Penn State will host third-seed DePaul on Monday at the Bryce Jordan Center.

At today's Penn State Board of Trustees meeting, an appendix was circulated that broke down the university's ongoing major construction projects (those with total cost greater than $5 million). The breakdown is especially interesting given the news that Penn State is postponing authorization of such construction projects until the uncertainty surrounding Penn State's appropriations vis-à-vis the Pennsylvania budget has dissolved. Candidates for the 2011 election of trustees by alumni were announced at this morning's Penn State Board of Trustees meeting. The election, which will be conducted entirely online, begins April 10 and ends May 12 at 9:00 am.
