Library Research? LionSearch Has Got Your Back!

Recently, something called LionSearch Beta has appeared on the website for the PSU library. Basically, a “library” is a place where you would go to borrow PDF files that somebody else printed out for you. They are even alphabetized sometimes! The library’s Web Site features a variety of databases you probably learned about as a freshman. LionSearch takes all of those and basically makes it into one master search.

Drake Is with Young Money “Forever”

Apparently Onward State wasn’t the only blog up to April Fool’s shenanigans as hiphopwired.com reported that at a Weezy concert at “University, PA” Drake was supposed to be part of surprise performance but was fired from Wayne’s Young Money label after a heated backstage spat.

Penn State Men’s Volleyball Claims EIVA Crown

The Penn State men’s volleyball team won their 13th-consecutive EIVA regular season title and 27th overall with a sweep of George Mason last Saturday. The Nittany Lions also earned hosting rights to the EIVA Semifinals and Championship, which will take place on April 28 and April 30, respectively.

Walkout Rally Draws Bigger Crowd, Misses Mark

Yesterday, Penn State saw another rally about Governor Corbett's proposed budget cuts and high tuition. The Walkout for Penn State drew a bigger crowd than the previous two on campus, this time filling the terrace in front of Old Main rather than just the steps.

Why I Didn’t Rally

These rallies started a couple of months ago, you know.

Actually, judging by the reported attendance at the April 4 demonstration --well into the hundreds--compared with the smattering who came out for those marches, you probably didn't know. But back in February, coming right on the heels of THON, Travis Salters tried to kick things off.
