Penn State Students Honored by Society of Professional Journalists

This week, two Penn State students were honored with Mark of Excellence Awards by the Society of Professional Journalists.

Junior Lexi Belcufine (@LexiBelc) was declared the National Winner in the Feature Writing category for her piece in The Lion’s Roar: “Driven, visible mayor sparks interest in Braddock’s revival.” She will be recognized in September with the rest of the national winners at the Excellence in Journalism Conference in New Orleans. Lexi is currently the Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Collegian.

Senior Andy Colwell (@AndyColwell) was a National Finalist for his photo titled “Catching Snowflakes.” I highly recommend you check out his work at AndyColwell.com.
