It’s 5K Season!

It’s that time of year again- time to watch everyone in the gym feverishly training for their respective 5Ks. This may seem a bit intimidating, but you too can be 5K ready!

The first thing to remember is that it’s NOT an uphill battle. Here’s an easy workout plan for even the sloppiest couch potato so you can cross that finish line alone with the sweaty show- offs in the gym.

See that wasn’t so bad was it? It’s also important to remember to stretch so you don’t hurt yourself, and to make sure you’re ready for exercise.

“From Couch to 5K” is a great website, where this workout plan as well as more tips and tricks are explained. There are also tips for making yourself a healthy eater, which I’m sure we could all use. Check it out for yourself!

If you feel like you’re ready for action, here’s some upcoming 5Ks and walks that you could register for! Not only will you get some great exercise, you can even make a difference while you’re at it.

It’s not an unusual phenomenon, especially when all of your buddies from home want to get together every single night. Don’t even get me started on the holidays; how could you possibly save money with all of those presents you have to buy? And your Aunt Cindy never seems to just give you cash on the big day…instead you’re stuck with a pair of pajamas with little penguins on them. With my help, you can see your friends, pretend to be happy with your less-than-mediocre presents, and manage to save a few bucks for your bar tab on syllabus week.
