SC.com Mobile: Happy Valley in Your Pocket

Want to order some hot wings for delivery or figure out what the happy hour special at Café 210 West is? Maybe you’re just too lazy to get out of bed and want to check the day’s weather. In any case, StateCollege.com (@StateCollegecom) has you covered.

StateCollege.com launched a whole new mobile interface this week in an effort to provide everything State College has to offer in one convenient location. It’s the Happy Valley experience crammed into your iPhone, Android or Blackberry.

The new interface organizes nine categories of services like the downtown business directory and calendar of events into one accessible feed. Each category is broken down below:

Apartments:
Here you can find apartments and houses for rent as well as a list of apartment agencies. This is good if you’re that slacker who still doesn’t know where you’re living next year or possibly getting a head start of that killer house for senior year.

Bar Tour:
Provides daily specials and events for all of the bars in State College. It makes getting a buzz on a budget much easier.

Businesses:
Here you can find a listing of all the businesses in State College. Now you won’t have to be that drunk kid asking where McLanahan’s is.

Calendar:
The calendar section highlights all the upcoming events in the State College community. Don’t miss another underground concert or obscure community happenings.

Dining:
Provides a listing of all local restaurants with the capability to order food through Statecollege.com’s online food ordering system. You can have a large pie delivered without even putting down your smartphone.

Movies:
This has all of the movie listings for the local theaters. I heard Paranormal Activity 3 was scary as shit!

News:
Provides links to all the areas news in four categories: local, Penn State, Sports and Community. You’ll just have to keep Onward State in the bookmarks while @SCNewsDesk tackles all the leads in the State College area.

Real Estate:
This section has everything you need for the areas real estate including all the local listings as well as open houses and listings of agencies and realtors. It beats the hell out of camping out on the sidewalk.

Weather Forecast:
Shows daily weather as well as hourly and weekly forecasts and radar maps. This is useful in a town where a freak snowstorm hits over Halloween weekend. Uggs or sandals will never be decided by a coin flip again.

Check out StateCollege.com mobile today and piece everything together like those hazy Sunday mornings.
