Original JoePa Illustration Auctioned for THON

Onward State illustrator Ellie Skrzat is auctioning an original illustration of Coach Paterno to benefit THON. After Ellie drew this image for Onward State over the weekend, we saw how quickly our readers shared it and adopted it as their profile pictures. At first we weren’t sure what to do with the original drawing, but we thought it would be a good way to donate to THON. If you go to the auction page, you can see that eBay has a feature which automatically donates 100% of proceeds to THON, which is a pretty neat feature. Alternatively, there is a SmugMug website where you can purchase a print, where  80% of proceeds will be split between The Special Olympics of Pennsylvania & THON.

Dennis McNamara

Dennis McNamara is a senior studying International Relations. The product of a long and muddy Irish lineage, Dennis blames that sour heritage and his Boston area upbringing for the flaws in his character. The only paid writer for Onward State, Dennis has never been described as a team player as he often thinks of himself as “the smartest guy in the room.” In addition to contributing to Onward State, Dennis is also Creative Director for Full Ammo Improv. Dennis isn’t sure when he’s kidding either.
