Penn State (Unfortunately) Tops U.S News & World Report Ranking
Penn State is number one in yet another college ranking, but this time it’s not for a good reason.
U.S. News and World Report released their list of the most expensive public colleges in the United States for in-state students, and Penn State topped the list as the only school with a yearly tuition over $15,000.
Joining Penn State as the only other Big Ten school in the top ten is Illinois, who has a yearly in-state tuition of $13,640 and is tied with Penn State at #47 on the U.S. News rank for public universities.
Following Penn State on the list was Maine Maritime Academy, University of Vermont, University of New Hampshire, University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Colorado School of Mines, College of New Jersey, University of Illinois (Chicago), and New Jersey Institute of Technology.
