Tomorrow, we dance. And to dance, you need music. Onward State is here to provide you with said music.
When it comes to doing creative and cool things- Penn Staters do it the best. When we want a White House at Beaver Stadium, we get 110,000 people to wear all white. When we want to help beat cancer, we raise millions of dollars and dance for 46 hours to help ease the burden on pediatric cancer patients and their families. In a few days, Penn State will have the chance to combine both of these things and white out THON 2012. It has been spreading around campus and social media sites that for the first time in THON's history, the Pep Rally will be a White Out.
Will Martin, Overall OPPerations Chairperson for THON 2012, is the guy making sure the Bryce Jordan Center is looking its best this weekend. It all starts Wednesday night when Martin will pick up all the dancer and kids mail from the HUB-Robeson Center and deliver it outside the BJC in a trailer where it will remain until THON begins. The Morale Committee has been working hard to sort all the mail this week in order to have it ready for distribution THON weekend.
THON is tomorrow. Literally. That means it's time to make some THON Prop Bets! What is a prop bet, you may ask? A prop bet is short for proposition bet. Basically, it's a bet on something not commonly betted upon. For example, lots of people bet on the score of the Super Bowl, but how many people bet on how many times the winning coach will say "humbled" in the post-game press conference? That's a prop bet. You can find out more on Grantland (or research it yourself. I'm not doing your homework for you).
THON Weekend is full of rockin' bands, enthralling dance troupes, and many other acts. Without the Entertainment Committee's efforts to secure and schedule these performances, dancers would find the 46 a far more difficult task.
