Billy Oliver has confirmed that he will no longer continue his basketball career at Penn State due to ongoing concussion symptoms. He will, however, stay at the university and continue to be around the program.
As many of us saw throughout the day on Friday through Facebook and Twitter, THON was able to make it onto national TV thanks to some very dedicated students. At around 8:00 on Friday morning Al Roker introduced the TODAY Show viewers to the cause that we all hold very close to our hearts. It has been a trying three weeks for the Penn State basketball team, but they put an end to a five game losing streak Saturday in an impressive fashion. In front of a large crowd in attendance for the Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser, Penn State (11-15, 3-10) took an early lead and never looked back, knocking off Nebraska 67-51.
